We do not take a 48 inch blind and cut 3/4" off each end to make a 46 1/2" blind.

Why do you have to measure my windows and doors, as well as install my shutters or blinds?

Blinds that are not measured correctly, will not function properly. All of Our blinds are covered by a limited life time (25 year) warranty. In order to offer this warranty we have to have accurate measurements and proper installation. Our representatives are trained at our factory to evaluate your window's construction, the type of mounting required, the proper way to measure your windows and much more. We know that if We do our job your shutters and blinds will look fabulous and you will enjoy your window coverings for many years.

Do you charge for measuring?

There is no charge for measuring. We have a $99.00 installation fee when you order less than 10 blinds, or 5 shutters. When you order 10+ blinds or 5+ shutters there is no installation fee. Shutters and Blindz offers "over the phone estimates". Our service representatives are happy to give you a quote "over the phone" or We are glad to offer in home estimates, We will bring the Showroom to you! Our price quote will be less than you will pay at Home Depot, Lowe’s or 3 Day Blinds.

What is the cost of 10 blinds?

The cost of measuring, installing and warranting 10 blinds is $590.00 plus tax*
(windows over 60 inches wide are slightly more $).

What is the cost of 100 square feet of shutters?

Shutters, unlike blinds, are priced by the square foot. For example, The cost of measuring, installing and warranting 100 square feet of shutters is $1,590 plus tax.

How do you determine the square feet of a window for shutters?

When measuring a window for shutters, for example a 60” x 60” window, add 2 inches to each side, making it 64 x 64, then multiply the two numbers - 64 times 64 equals 4,096 square inches, then divide 4,096 by 144 to get the square feet. (4,096 divided by 144 is 24.44 square feet)

The time frame from order to install will vary based on product type. Blinds are normally completed and installed within 10 business days. The actual time to install the blinds or shutters at your home will take 1 to 6 hours.
